Jannelli&Volpi adopts HeiQ Viroblock technology, for its wallcoverings, an innovative technology that makes surface resistant to microbes and virus. The first collection to use it is the new JWall Tatami
Jannelli&Volpi adopts HeiQ Viroblock antiviral and antimicrobial technology - from the Swiss company HeiQ – for its production of wallcoverings. A technology that has proven effective against SARS-CoV-2*, and that shows a reduction of the viral load of the wallcovering in a few minutes (Antiviral efficacy test: ISO 18184). Applied to the new JWall Tatami collection, The HeiQ Viroblock technology is a unique combination of HeiQ’s advanced silver technology and a vesicle technology as a booster. Silver emits silver-ions to inhibit bacteria on the surface. The vesicle technology depletes the viral membrane thus silver can work more efficiently and rapidly to attack the core of the virus. The technology, in fact, can neutralize more than 98% of virions (single viral particles) in one minute, reaching 100% within ten minutes.
Developed by the Swiss – textile inovation company HeiQ, the HeiQ Viroblock treatment was initially applied to the tissues of the masks - with a reduction of over 99.99%* of viral infectivity in the treated masks and was then adopted in other sectors such as textiles.
Therefore Jannelli&Volpi developed a technique suitable for application on wallcoverings. The goal is to prevent print media from becoming a host surface for the spread of harmful viruses andmicrobes,as well as to help reducing the risk and speed of contamination and transmission on surface. Jannelli&Volpi also looks beyond the current situation, considering that, even when the Coronavirus is
eradicated, the sensitivity of consumers for the protection of their health will remain high, starting from the environments in which they live.
